Terms of Service

Please read these terms before you use EduManageTool. They are written in simple English so that everyone can understand them.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between [Company legal name], [Address] ("we", "us") and you, when you use EduManageTool (the website, web app, desktop app and mobile app). By using EduManageTool you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
"School" means the school or institution that has an account with us. "User" means anyone who logs in: school staff, teachers, accountants, parents and students.
2. The service
EduManageTool is online software that helps schools manage admissions, students, attendance, homework, exams, fees, staff, library, transport and notices. Features can change over time. We will tell schools before we remove a main feature they use.
3. Accounts and passwords
- The school creates logins for its staff, teachers and parents.
- Keep your password secret. Do not share your login with anyone.
- You are responsible for what is done with your login.
- Tell the school or us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
4. What the school must do
- Enter correct data, and keep it up to date.
- Get consent from parents or guardians before entering children's personal data, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires.
- Give access only to people who need it, and remove access when staff leave.
- Pay the subscription fee on time (if the school is on a paid plan).
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for anything illegal, or to harm or harass anyone,
- upload viruses or harmful files,
- try to access data of another school or another user without permission,
- try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or
- copy or resell the software.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
6. Subscription fees and free trial
Prices for schools are shown on our website or in the quote we send. A free trial, if offered, is for the period stated in the offer. After the trial, the school pays the agreed fee to keep using the service. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). GST and other taxes are added as the law requires.
If a payment is late, we will remind the school. If it is still not paid after [number] days, we may limit or suspend the account. Data is not deleted because of late payment without notice.
7. School fees paid by parents
Parents can pay school fees online through EduManageTool. Online payments are processed by our payment partner Razorpay. The school sets the fee amount, due dates, fines and concessions. Questions about the fee amount should go to the school.

8. Data and privacy
The school owns the data it enters. We use it only to provide the service, as explained in our Privacy Policy. A school can ask for a copy of its data at any time while its account is active, and for [number] days after it closes.
9. Our software and name
The software, design, logo and the name EduManageTool belong to us. Using the service does not give you ownership of them.
10. Service availability
We work to keep EduManageTool available and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be free of errors or available without breaks (for example, during maintenance or problems with internet or hosting providers). We will try to tell schools before planned maintenance.
11. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses (such as lost profit or lost data caused by wrong entries). Our total liability to a school for any claim is limited to the subscription fees the school paid us in the [number] months before the claim.
12. Ending the service
A school can stop using EduManageTool at any time, as explained in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. We may end or suspend an account if these terms are seriously broken, after giving notice where possible.
13. Law and disputes
These terms follow the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts at [City], India. Please contact us first; most problems can be solved by talking.
14. Changes and contact
